This summer we have had an extraordinary number of swallows at Lake Joy, both Barn Swallows and Violet-green Swallows.? Currently I estimate there are between 100 and 200 on the rafts, docks, trees, bushes, wires and flying over the lake.? This increase in numbers started about 2 weeks ago.? Here is a link
