This morning I bonked out the back door of my North Everett home to be greeted by a loud and vaguely familiar bird call - could it be...... yes it was: a Scrub Jay! A call that I guess I had stored in my brain from times gone by when I had visited their more common haunts, New Mexico, and California. It was an immature bird, and only the second I've seen here in eleven years. The first one being in Sept. 2005. Today's bird was gone by this evening. Neato!
