Subject: [Tweeters] fledglings

I was hiking from Mowich Lake toward Spray Falls on Monday, about 5,000 ft.
elevation. I observed an adult Swainson's Thrush foraging and feeding a
recent fledgling - three trips in about eight minutes. A little farther
down the trail I witnessed two fluffy fledgling Pacific Wrens being tended
by two foraging adults. Since the snow lingers so long up there and it was
August 20th (not really "Spring"), might I assume that in both cases there
was only one brood from those particular adult birds this year? Would
appreciate any thoughts on the matter...
