The consistency of the Swainson's Thrush night flight over my yard in
Battle Ground, Clark County didn't hold for this morning's flight. From
5:25 - 5:45 this morning, total "urps" per minute ranged from 60 to 2 so I
couldn't come up with a good estimate of total number of birds. It was
encouraging to hear them for a second night though!

Birding around my small yard did reveal a few migrants:

Western Wood Pewee 1
RED-EYED VIREO (the first one I've ever *seen* in Clark County!) 1
Yellow Warbler 3
Black-throated Gray Warbler 1
Common Yellowthroat 2
Western Tanager 3

I've enjoyed watching a presumed family group of 3 Willow Flycatchers which
has set up territory on and around my back deck. They are very aggressive
and i remember seeing one attack a Bewick's Wren last year on the deck and
feathers flew from the wren! The wren was back today and thankfully was
able to forage in peace this time.
Keep your ears and eyes skyward.
