Hello Tweeters.
Since there is so much discussion going on about this species I looked at my
photos from last year on September 09-03-2011.You can see the comparison
between the two species so good. The Size, and the long supercillium beyond
the EYE.THERE ARE SEVERAL BIRDS WHO GOT A grayish Breast with no
supercillium. When I first saw this Bird he was among 850 Marbled Godwit's
circle around ( I was seeing the white Rump clearly )It is absolutely to
own a shorebird book for study on plumage,
There are two great Shorebirds books "SHOREBIRDS OF NORTH AMERICA BY Dennis
Paulson &The SHOREBIRD GUIDE by Michael O'BRIAN &
RICHARD CROSSLY AND KEVIN KARLSON.On page 278 there is a photo of the
Bar-tailed Godwit in the middle of Marbled for comparison
of the size. The best sighting to see this species would be Ocean Shores(on
the outer Beach Driftwood .In Tokeland you can get them roosting close to
the Marina lined up.
To mention Dennis Paulson's first Shorebirds Book,is a collector ITEM.
If YOU WANT TO FIND OUT DETAILS ABOUT A SPECIES,YOU FIND THIS IN THIS BOOK
LOT'S OF WORK WENT IN TO THIS BOOK IN WRITING LOOKING on my Website
