I'm heading to Anchorage the 3rd week of Sept and am familiar w/many of the usual areas for birding having lived there for several years. I only have 3 days and would greatly appreciate any help for finding some target species: Great grey owl, Northern hawk-owl, Boreal owl, any ptarmigans, and partridges, any raptors on the fly. Being from the Puget Sound, I've seen many of the Alaska birds locally, but some I just have not been able to find. So, if you have info such as names or phone #s of people who might be willing to hook up with me via email or serve as an actual guide for me and my friend, I'd be even more grateful if you would pass this info along to them.
