My wife and I recently stayed in Packwood in order to bird at Sunrise.? One day we decided to do something different and bird? at various spots along the Cowlitz River from Lake Scanewa to Riffe Lake.? At Cowlitz Falls Dam we were fortunate to see an Osprey perched on a ledge below us.? All of our previous Osprey sightings had been looking up at one in flight or perched above us.? Here is the photo of the Osprey on the ledge.
