Hi, I am Sandy Peterson, I was with Mark and Janeanne when we spotted the
plover. Since we only had an older book we didn't realize the name had
been changed to Lesser Sand-plover; not nearly as exotic sounding. Still
exciting.

I have posted the sighting to e-bird and here is a link a couple of

By the way, there was also a Wilson's plover at the game range, in case
anyone was interested. I didn't realize that it might be of interest until
I saw the other posting on the list about Wilson's.
