We had a banner day for shorebirds today, 19 species: LESSER SAND-PLOVER, RED KNOT, SEMI-PALMATED PLOVER, KILLDEER, PECTORAL SANDPIPER, WESTERN SANDPIPER, LEAST SANDPIPER, AMERICAN AND PACIFIC GOLDEN PLOVERS, BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER, LONG-BILLED DOWICHER, MARBLED GODWIT, LONG-BILLED CURLEW, WIMBREL, RUDDY TURNSTONE, BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPEr, STILT SANDPIPER, WILSON'S PHALAROPE and RED-NECKED PHALAROPE. Only one time have I beat that. Missed out on HUDSONIAN GODWIT, SNOWY PLOVER and BAR-TAILED GODWIT if they are here yet. I didn't try for any of the rock sandpipers either so who knows how many species could have been had today.

Now to figure out a way to get over and find that WILSON'S PLOVER.
