At the River S unit at the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, there is a tree that many people are familiar with. The Great Horned Owl has nested in the same tree for six years. We drove through the Refuge this afternoon and the tree was destroyed in the storm this week. Wonder where she will go now?I don't know a lot about Owl behavior except that they dont build there own nest. What might be typical in a situation like this?
