Tweeters,
?
While walking to work across the capital campus in Olympia at 8:00 a.m. this morning, my attention was drawn to a flock of 15 noisy crows that were harassing something on the roof of Office Building 2 (OB2).? A little investigation quickly showed that a Snowy Owl was the target of their anger.? The owl, which had moderate dark barring,?sat in place on the edge of the roof for about 20 minutes, allowing some of my co-workers to also see it, but it flew off to the east?at about 8:20 when a building maintenance worker appeared on the roof.? This is an excellent sighting for Olympia.? Folks should keep their eyes open for the next few days in case it lingers around town.
