A very cooperative PHAINOPEPLA is now being seen at the south end of
Emigrant Lake east of Ashland. On December 5 a MOUNTAIN PLOVER was seen on
the beach at Bullard?s Beach State Park near Bandon. A CARACARA is now at a
private ranch near Langlois south of Bandon.

The recent storms have brought RED PHALAROPES near shore all along the
coast. One was seen December 5 at Broughton Beach near the Portland Airport.
A TROPICAL KINGBIRD continues at Bandon. Several SNOWY OWLS continue to be
seen near the South Jetty of the Columbia River. Single VULTURES were seen
December 4 at Coos Bay and Coquille. A late WILSON?S WARBLER was near Toledo
December 3. A BULLER?S SHEARWATER, two BROWN PELICANS, and a HEERMANN?S GULL
were at Boiler Bay December 5.

A HARRIS?S SPARROW is now back at Rentenaar Road on Sauvie Island. On
December 4 a CLAY-COLORED SPARROW was in Albany. A gray phase GYRFALCON was
seen December 2 along Granger Road north of Corvallis. On December 3 a BROWN
PELICAN was seen flying over Corvallis.

Several REDPOLLS were reported during the week around Bend and Sisters. A
BOHEMIAN WAXWING was in Burns December 3. During the week TREE SPARROWS,
ROSY-FINCGES, REDPOLLS, and BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS were in the Enterprise and
Joseph areas. On December 1 a gray phase GYRFALCON was along Tenderfoot
Valley Road east of Joseph.
