Hello tweets,

Yesterday my sister Nancy and I were at Nisqually reach, at the nature center around 2 pm. Scanning across McAllister creek
we saw 2 snowy owls perched along the shoreline. One was perched on a stump; it had lots of dark feathers on back and head. It was actively preening and looking around. The other perched on a fallen tree; it was much whiter and also much more quiet.
Nisqually Reach Nature Center is open Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays noon to 4 pm. The staff and volunteers are very
helpful and knowledgeable about the owls and keep several spotting scopes available to use.
