This afternoon I found a Rough-legged Hawk at Wax Orchards Airport on
Vashon, which is a first for the island.

It was seen for a half hour along the east side of the runway when looking
north from 232nd Street, at a distance of about a quarter mile. It then
flew out of sight low over the fields to the east shortly before 4:00 PM.
(Note that the airport and surrounding fields are all private property, so
viewing opportunities are restricted to scoping from the roadside.)
