While?most of the Edmonds marina was closed off Saturday due to the police pursuit and capture of?a bank robber,?the fishing pier remained open.?I got a shot of a common loon flying past me in nonbreeding plumage.? I did not recognize it as I have only seen?loons here twice before in the late spring and?both times they were in breeding plumage.
