Subject: [Tweeters] Life with Alex the grey parrot (my review of the film)

hi everyone,

those of you who are wondering what would make a good gift for the
bird-fan who has everything (except, perhaps, the most expensive of
items) will be relieved to know that there is one thing that most
people won't have yet: this memoir of Alex the African grey parrot!
I've been watching this film at least one per day for the past few
days now and I absolutely love it. I've written a review that I
published on the Guardian, and I include a trailer from the film:

I don't like spending any money on DVDs, unless I've already seen the
film and am certain I'll watch it again and again (in that case, I
cheerfully purchase it). But this is a DVD that I know I'll watch
again and again because I already have! It's just so wonderfully done
that it is worth buying, either as a gift for yourself, for your loved
ones, or even better, as a gift for your local public library! (yes, I
am purchasing a copy for my formerly-local library in New York City!)

cheers,

--
