Subject: [Tweeters] Summer tanager on feeder this afternoon

This is probably the same bird from the U District from the last couple
days. It was chased away from where it has been for at least a couple
straight days by a Cooper's Hawk at about 8:30 am this morning. I don't
believe anyone else saw it at the site after that. The bird was feeding on
fruit that was being left out on top of a suet feeder. If you have any fruit
you might set it out for the bird.

My wife Laura Lippman noticed a red bird on the suet block and then
identified it as a summer tanager. We live in Wallingford - don't know if
it will be back but if we see it tomorrow will post again.
