The sweet little Pine Siskins are eating my Swiss Chard!

I have a pot of Swiss Chard on the deck and today at least 2 dozen Pine Siskin were eating the leaves. Some of the Pine Siskins were lined up on top of the table waiting to dine. There was so much activity that even the Juncos and Towhees came up to check it out. At first I thought that they may have been after insects, but they are eating the leaves all the way down to the stems.

I took a video and will put it out on my flickr account as soon as I can find the time to figure out how to do it.

I also had another occurrence of a Pine Siskin fluttering around my kitchen window after dark.

Very strange and very sweet little birds.
