spike the wonder dog and i rode around the loop starting at sikes lake,
down 184th bending around to 100th and back. we were rewarded with three
falcon sightings, 1 peregrine, 1 merlin and several american kestrels. we
also saw full adult cooper's hawks, at leat two, and one very handsome
sharp-shinned hawk. huge flocks of both canada and cackling geese are near
kamp corey. did not have time to really scope them out and get firm ids,
but there appeared to by five identifiable goose subspecies. somebody w/
time and a better eye than mine could have fun out there.
regards,
t
