Hi Folks ? Natural history collections play a critical role in birding as a hobby. They act as libraries used for reference, research and refinement of out understanding of the world's birds. At the very least they make modern field guides possible. The leadership at The Field Museum in Chicago has decided to slash financial support for research and collections. If you have a spare minute please take the time to learn about the decisions and weigh in. Hopefully enough people will comment and the Board will make some changes to their plans.
