By 2PM today I had put it off as long as I could. ?Christmas waits for no-one and there were last minute projects to complete so I was forced out into the gloomy wet afternoon, but wait, what did I hear? ?Why seven redwing blackbirds making a joyful noise in a maple tree of course. No?partridges?or swans, no pear trees and certainly no lords, a-leaping or otherwise, but blackbirds in full song. ?Birds never cease to amaze. Here it was one of the darkest, wettest, days of the year and blackbirds were singing like it was spring. ?What a wonderful sound to behold. ?Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, or whatever you celebrate. ?
