Hi tweeters,

Yesterday and the day before we had some form of SAPSUCKER in our
neighbor's honey locust tree here in North Seattle (140th St NE and 15th
Ave NE). I got a good look through binoculars, and there was red on top
of head, chin, and black and white striping around the eyes. Given the
white barring on the back and the classic sapsucker behavior, I would
call it a yellow-bellied sapsucker, but I'm reading there is extensive
hybridization among sapsuckers. Anyone have another sighting that would
match?
