Having been granted my Christmas wish of getting a Western Screech-Owl on
12/25 for my Bird-A-Day year end quest, I once again headed south to the
Bingen/Lyle Area on the Columbia River Gorge this morning. I stopped at
Ridgefield NWR in Clark Co., where I finally saw and photographed a Black
Phoebe. Also seen were a Tree Swallow(!), "collared" "Minima" Cackling
Goose (breeds in the Yukon Territory of Canada as well as Alaska I'm told),
Marsh & Bewick's Wren, Lincoln's Sparrow and other common birds. I dipped
on the Tufted Duck at Marine Park in Vancouver, WA, however. ?
