Subject: [Tweeters] YBLO makes four loon species today at Tramp Harbor,

Walter Wehtje emailed me today with photos of a Yellow-billed Loon taken
this morning at Tramp Harbor on Vashon Island. I went down mid afternoon
and found the bird along with several Common Loons, and more than a dozen
each of Pacific Loons and Red-throated Loons farther out.

This afternoon, the Yellow-billed Loon caught and ate a largish fish about
100m off the Tramp Harbor fishing pier. This is also often a good location
for Eared Grebe though I didn't notice any among the many Horned Grebes.

Today is the first day of count week for the CBC and hopefully we'll get it
for the count on the 30th. We have some good raptors for Vashon, a
Rough-leg and a harrier sticking around as well.
