After being alerted of a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK found on Hamilton Island, below Bonneville Dam, by Tom Mansfield. I headed out to search for it without success. Luckily I ran into Rick and Tina Taylor were also out birding Skamania County and they told me about a RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER that they had found at Skamania Landing. I relocated the bird near the Bald Eagle nest tree at Doetsch Pond, north of the one-lane bridge. A county year bird for me.
