Our local eagles in Edmonds?regularly perch on the telephone poles?adjacent to?the railroad tracks at the west end of the marsh, on?the two pilings off the Senior Center between the marina and the ferry dock, and on the lone piling off Marina Park.? They used to perch on top of the mast of the "Avatar", a boat moored in the Edmonds marina.? The boat is still moored there, but I have not seen an eagle perch on the mast in over a year.? Perhaps the owner got tired of discovering the true meaning of the term "poop" deck and installed something on top of the mast to keep them from perching there.
?
I once?photographed?an eagle perched on one of the?railroad signal lights just north of Brackett's Landing. ?
