Yesterday (Sunday) afternoon on a trip to Fir Island Farm/Hayton Reserve, we
spotted three Snowy Owls. Although I would not say they were close by any
means, they certainly were close enough to get some nice views with
binoculars. We also had great views of Short-Eared Owls, a Northern Shrike
perched on a tree, and at least seven Bald Eagles. The eagles created quite
a commotion when flying over the many thousands of Snow Geese!
