It happens. For many years a pair of Osprey had a nest atop a cell
phone tower on Peacock Hill Road, north of Gig Harbor. Two years ago a
pair of Eagles arrived about this time and spent a great deal of time on
the tower. However, when the Osprey arrived they left.

Last year the Eagles took over the nest and didn't leave. The Osprey
built a nest in a tree about a mile from the cell tower. The Eagles
have been on the tower on and off this winter.
