Yesterday was a beautiful day in the Snoqualmie Valley as it was everywhere in the Pacific Northwest.? We saw about 10 Lesser Scaups, 2 Mallards, 1 Great Blue Heron and 2 Wood Ducks in the pond across West Snoqualmie Valley Road from Tall Chief Golf Course.? Then at Sikes Lake we saw approximately 15 Double Crested Cormorants, approximately 30 Coots and appoximately 30 Mallards.? Sikes Lake is located north/northwest of Camp Korey?at Carnation Farm.? Another good place to bird in the Snoqualmie Valley is on the trails through the wetlands on the south side of McDonald Park in Carnation.
