Subject: [Tweeters] BAGO Alert for Montlake Fill
Date: Feb 5 10:21:07 2012
From: Connie Sidles - constancesidles at gmail.com

Connie has asked me to post, that as of the present moment
(10:13 am, Sunday February 5, 2012) there is a BARROW'S
GOLDENEYE (Bucephala islandica) located at the Montlake
fill, within thirty meters of the wooden bridge, swimming in the
narrow (five meters wide) fresh water passage known as
the Slough, located between the Dime Parking Lot and
Husky Baseball Field.

This particular BAGO is an adult male in full breeding plumage,
and it is possibly the first ever seen at the Montlake Fill.

The bird is swimming and feeding peaceably, in a habitat
that is notably atypical for this normally saltwater duck,
and is offering startlingly short-range views,

Happy birding, says Connie! :) :) :)
