Birded the Okanogan Highlands and vicinity for the last three days.? A flock of WW Crossbills (15-20) were located in the Engelmann Spruce just past the Sitzmark Ski area.? Other Highlights: Northern goshawk (adult) Outskirts of Chesaw, large flock of red polls at feeders in Chesaw, Northern Hawk Owl located at the 6.3 mile mark on Union Valley road above Chelan fairly far from road, inconclusive looks at what might have been the Yellow-billed loon at Walla Walla Point in Wenatchee.

Tweeters is a general birding chat list devoted to birds and birding
in the Cascadia region, especially Washington State. Bird
observations, trip reports, field identification issues, and the
status, distribution, habitats, natural history, and biology of the
birds of Cascadia provide the prevalent, but not exclusive, subject
matter of the list. Traffic is fairly heavy, averaging 500 to 600
postings per month.

Tweeters has liberal posting guidelines and is unmoderated, meaning
that subscribers may post freely and that postings are not screened.
Please familiarize yourself with the Posting Guidelines at
http://www.scn.org/tweeters/guidelines_tw.html

Our website at http://www.scn.org/tweeters/ provides much detailed
information about Tweeters and its younger sister, Tweeters-Alerts, a
moderated list for current field reports of noteworthy bird sightings
in Washington State.

The FAQ page on the website addresses common questions and issues that
subscribers often experience. You may contact the listowners at
tweeters-owner at mailman2.u.washington.edu.
