Tweeters,

The Red-naped Sapsucker was at Cottonwood Beach in Captain William Clark
Park as of 8:45 this morning. It was in a large tree just north of the
shelter - description of location is from Wilson Cady's previous report:

park in the eastern parking lot next to the caretakers mobile home and walk
the paved path up over the dike towards the Columbia River. As you come out
of the trees there is a large Capt. William Clark Park sign, the bird is
using the cottonwoods on the riverbank due south of the sign. This is a
Code 5 bird in Clark County and only my second for the county.

At about 9:30-10:00, the Mountain Bluebird was about 125 yards east of the
intersection of the Dike Trail with the Gibbons Creek Art Trail in
Steigerwald NWR. It was feeding along the fence line which parallels the
dike trail. Nice bird and a new county bird for me.

Thanks all for keeping tabs on these two birds.

Jim
