Greetings all,
Now that I've thawed out, I'll send a more detailed report of the trip today with the McKay's Bunting.
Google Map of the location we encountered the bird can be found here:

The bird was seen well past the area where the Snowy Owls are hanging out, so hopefully there is no need to trample around that area and inadvertently flush the owls as you look for the bunting. (We saw 7 Snowy Owls as we walked out towards the tip).

We ended up walking in a grid pattern for 1 hour after we initially saw the bird in flight until we found it again. Once we found it, we had nice long leisurely looks and Charlie was able to get some nice photos. I didn't brave the pounding rain with my camera so did not get any photos myself!

Also of note was an adult Glaucous Gull along Wenzel Slough Road in the pond near the farm close to the intersection with Keys Road. We also saw the Emperor Goose on the Ocean Shores Golf Course behind the Library earlier in the AM.
Cheers,
Ryan
