Folks,

Seattle Audubon Society's Bird Watch (teen birder) field trip to Skagit
Saturday started with three SNOWY OWLs at Thomle Road. Of the 3-4
SWALLOWs, at least a couple were BARN. As we were leaving, a couple
photographers were heading across the field past the "keep out" signs,
and when we checked later from Eide Rd., the photographers were on the
dike, but the owls were no longer visible.

We saw ~5 BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONs at the Josephine Senior Center in
Stanwood, but there ended our rarity chasing streak. We did not find
Black Phoebe, Snow Bunting, nor redpolls. We'll be reporting three neck
collars on TUNDRA SWANs. We did have a couple EURASIAN WIGEON and a
LONG-TAILED DUCK from March Point, one MERLIN and three AMERICAN
KESTRELs, ~4 ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKs, a couple NORTHERN SHRIKEs, one
SHORT-EARED OWL at the west 90, and lots of EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVEs
everywhere (such that we probably won't be reporting them much in
future).
