the head gardner/farmer/whatever-he's-called at camp korey (at the time of
the telling, it was still nestle's training center -- king county,
washington) told me several years ago one of the redtails used to hang
around whenever he got the tractor and mower out to cut the field across
carnation farm road from the hq bldgs, sometimes even landing on the mower
while it was being towed. the first time he scared up a frog the bird
caught it and after a taste threw it away. eventually, tho, it decided
frog legs weren't all that bad and bagged them along w/ anything else that
was scared up.
