Darrel,
Are you sure your biologist friend wasn't referring to nesting of snowy plovers, not snowy owls?

Subject: [Tweeters] Perhaps no sense of urgency in viewing Damon Point Snowy's -and a surprising development

I heard from a biologist friend today who has done work recently at Damon Point, that the Snowy's at Damon are showing nesting behavior and there is a good chance at least a pair may fledge there. Barring any influx of new predator's, we could see Snowy's nesting in Wa. this year. I'm a little skeptical, but this has been a very reliable source for me, of course their is now pridicting what may happen the next two month's.
