I had a chance today to try for the bunting today, and spent several hours looking, but was not successful. I left, leaving other birders to continue the search into the afternoon.
There was a report from another birder, that he received a call first thing this morning, that the bunting was seen, but the birder who sighted it was not out there when I got there, and I started walking out at 8:30am. So it could still be around.
