My husband just returned from Myanmar with a few photos of birds he wasn't able to readily identify, including this hawk. Fuzzy cropped photos but you'd think with the combination of the coloration of the back and the great view of the underside of the tail it would be easy, but no such luck combing through our Robson book. Long-legged buzzard seems the closest but the tail doesn't seen right and the book shows them as being vagrants to northern Myahmar - he saw the bird in central. I hope there are some raptor experts out there who can weigh in (to my email). Anyway, here's the link to the photos on Flikr:
