Hello, tweeters.

I don't know why it has taken me so long to think of this, but we should have been collecting pellets from those Snowy Owls throughout the winter, so we can get some idea of what they are eating. Has anyone collected pellets? We can identify prey from bones at the Slater Museum, and it shouldn't be too difficult, as we know quite well what sorts of things they may be eating.

If anyone has pellets and wants the bones identified or can collect some out there in the ensuing days, we can learn a lot! In fact, I would make a special plea to anyone who has picked up pellets as souvenirs they planned to keep intact that, if dissected, they are really of great value in understanding what the owls are doing while they are with us.
