Hi Bryan,

You should defintely get up there on the next relatively non-rainy
day. I was up there on Wednesday and there were plenty of Snowies --
at least 15 of them close enough to the dike trail that no binoculars
were needed. I had endless opportunities to get great photos from the
trail. Also got my best views ever of Short-eared Owls perching and
flying very close to the trail.

You are also likely see a LOT of photographers trepsing hundreds of
yards off trail, ignoring the very clear signage asking people not to
do that. Had any of the 8 or so returned to the dike while I was
there, I planned to do some video interviews asking them how one
cultivates such arrogance. But they all stayed out there past the
time I left, and spared me the confrontation :)
