I'm not sure if this is tweeters-worthy but there have been Barrow's goldeneyes feeding off the breakwater wall that is just below the low West Seattle Bridge the last few days. On Tuesday there were six (four females and two males), while this evening I saw just one couple, in the company of a Canada goose, eating off the wall. I assume there are barnacles and/or other tasty bits of shellfish on the wall. I've seen the goldeneyes in the vicinity frequently but it seems like they eat only when the water is low (thus exposing more of the encrusted wall).
