Hello, Nancy and tweeters,

John Neville, in British Columbia, sells a nice variety of bird song CDs that includes more narration and comparison between bird songs, like you're requesting. The real nice thing about his recordings is that they're from the Pacific Northwest, so dialects are much closer to WA birds than Peterson or Stokes, which were likely recorded farther afield, like CA and elsewhere. We sell many of his CDs at the Dungeness River Audubon Center, particularly his Beginners Guide to BC Birdsong and Bird Songs of the West Coast.

His website: http://www.nevillerecording.com/

Good luck,

Subject: [Tweeters] Birdsong CDs?

I am reviewing my bird songs and I am looking for instructional CDs similar to Peterson's Birding by Ear, which I already have. Specifically, I'm looking for something which describes songs and compares and contrasts similar songs. I have plenty CDs with songs on them, Stokes, Peterson, etc, I am looking for the instructional information. Any suggestions?

Thanks!
