Hi Tweeters,

Thanks to Mike Ramos who reminded Tweeters yesterday that Common
Redpolls were being seen at Richmond Beach Park in Shoreline (in the alders
between the parking lot and bridge). Bill and I have been hunting for these
birds for several years now and finally managed to connect with this small
flock this morning about 8 am. The lighting was not good, but the birds we
saw appeared to be mostly first year or female. Several trains came by and
the birds got spooked and flew off, just as Mike reported. Our first lifer
for the year!
