A great day for the bird count. Besides the usual chickadees, grosbeak,
jays, juncos, towhees and sparrows, there were Pine Siskins and Purple
Finch here for the first time this spring...well, the first time I have
seen them at my feeders! I love to see the Pine Siskins because it is
never long after they come that the Goldfinch appear. Of course, it
does mean I will have to invest in some thistle although the Siskins
were doing well with the sunflower seeds today.
