Last Saturday I went down to the Lower Yakima Valley at the intersection of
Pumphouse Rd./Old Goldendale Rd. to see if the Sage Sparrows were back and
despite the wind I was able to find one. It took a while but finally one
responded to a playback and I saw it scurrying on the ground like a mouse.
It was heard again on Tuesday by Jeff Kozma. Signs of spring!
