Hi-
We are here in Bellingham visiting a mom (we are from NYC) - and for
a book project we would like to photograph a few species we rarely
see in NYC...Can some folks direct us to the best location within 100
miles of Bellingham to photograph (a) Northern Shrike; (b) Tufted
Duck; (c) White-winged Scoter - (yes we know the latter species is
common here, but where are they consistently close to shore to
photograph?); and (d) Sora Rail. if we could get images of these four
species, we would be quite happy...
Yesterday we had a wonderful time at Semiahmoo photographing
Red-throated and Common Loons, Red-necked Grebe, Surf Scoter...Some
of these species have been seen only a handful of times in Central
Park, NYC - so we are more than happy to photograph them here.
We are scientists and photographers trying our best...
