Hello Tweeters,
Since I see no reply on the early Nashville Warbler as probable the earliest
date to show up.Patrick and I we used to take a trip to the Columbia Gorge
,this to get the first early record of the Nashville Warbler of the State. We
saw them always in March in the Maryhill Museum & also at Maryhill State
Park. This records where confirmed with some photos.I think this record in
February is very early and should be taken photos off to be confirmed. The
''GUIDE TO BIRD FINDING IN WASHINGTON" byTerence
R.WAHL & Dennis Paulson,But this book is aut dated, but still this record in
February is still a earliest record.Patrick's records of write up can be
found on the Tweeters Archive.

Concerning the feeding birds on Sunflower Seed & Distill seed ,one have to
be so clean picking up the dropping seed,(for some reason the birds spitting
out much more seed out than ever.I buying my Sunflower Seed now from a
BIRDFEEDER OUTLET in Gig Harbor. This Seed for some reason is clean, it is
more expensive 50 pounds is $45.00.But I FOUND A SOLUTION OF BEING MORE
CLEAN putting in the area where I have this tub Feeders hanging A huge
plastic sheet down.I BEEN SO CAREFUL THAT EVERY EVENING TO PICK UP THE
SPILLED SEED.Most all my birds going on my Suet even the Finches and
Towhees,
what makes it much easier to being clean According to Cornell the fatality
of birds are not alone from other predator but being NOT CLEAN!!!!!!!!!!!.It
is better that some people don't feed birds at all than killing them.
I still have 25 TOWNSEND'S WARBLERS & 18 Yellow rumped Warblers in my yard
every day ,ALL day
PS:My Son Patrick was the one who was in charge feeding the birds in our
yard,He was so efficient and clean. When he passed away I TOOK OVER HONOR HIS
PASSION FOR BIRDS.I had no IDEA HOW MUCH WORK IT REQUIRE feeding SO MANY
BIRDS.When I don't go birdying I WATCHING MY BIRDS IN THE YARD.And also
keeping record how many 7 HOW OFTEN THERE COMING,THIS WHAT Patrick also
done. Our birds increase by 50 prozent since 1988.but WE HAVING MORE FEEDERS
AND we never made our Suet
