This morning at 4:30 I saw a Great Blue Heron hunting in a flooded field.
I have never seen Herons at night before.
Can anyone tell me is it common for them to hunt in the dark?
Was this fellow just an early riser?
Was he so hungry he spent all night looking for a meal?
