Subject: [Tweeters] 2013 WOS Conference - VOTE!
Date: Feb 27 08:35:54 2012
From: jstephens62 at comcast.net - jstephens62 at comcast.net

Each year, the WOS Board spends considerable time planning where to have our conference for the following year. This year, one of members came up with a radical new approach; we ask our members where they would like to go! I know this seems bizarre, but it is so crazy it might just work.
If you go to the WOS web page (www.wos.org) you will find a link to vote for where you would like to go for our 2013 conference. The choices are:

Omak
Moses Lake
Yakima

The time frame for all locations is spring/summer of 2013.

You will notice this means we will have two "east side" trips in a row. This is based on the feedback we received from our 2011 conference, where the great majority of recommendations were for locations east of the Cascade mountains.

Please, WOS members only for the voting. If you are not a member and would like to join, you can do this on the web page as well. Bribes to sway the vote will be gratefully accepted by any board member. They won't change the vote at all, but will go into the Patrick Sullivan Young Birders fund.

Don't forget that registration for our June 2012 conference in Spokane will be available the same day that voting for the 2013 conference ends, March 15 th.

We will make an announcement of the voting results soon after the March 15 th deadline.

Thanks to all, good luck, and good birding!
