Wow, crystal blue skies, bright actual warm sunshine trying to take the
chill off the present mid-20'sF, and the air is currently FULL of tiny tiny
almost imperceptible particles of "fairy dust" filtering down through the
blue, visible and sparkling ONLY through those rays of warm sunshine but
otherwise not detectable at all in the shadows. Keep this up for..., oh, six
more months or so, then I might actually have a faint dusting on the lawn.
This current 'blizzard' of tiny sparkling crystals, just residual moisture
left over from yesterday's wet I suppose, is really providing quite an
exquisite setting for the bejeweled adult male Anna's Hummingbirds coming and
going that seem to be enjoying it as well. I've seen "fairy dust" before
of course, but in all my life, I've honestly never seen anything quite like
this one. If you've got hummingbirds and you're reading this now
(10:30am), get out and check it out! It's way cool, but probably won't last long.
